This project is in the province of the Eastern Cape and in the Nxuba Yethemba Local Municipal area. Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely the Nxuba Yethemba Local Municipalities and based outside the province but in RSA as well as the CIDB grades and classes indicated for each subcontract package.  This tender will be evaluated in terms of functionality as a criterion and the price and preference points system.  Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders: B-BBEE Level 1 contributor. Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE). Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD). Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in the relevant contractor grade and class designation (where applicable). An award will only be made to preferred Tenderers that are: Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COID); and Tax Compliant.
