Every government bid pack contains a stack of Standard Bidding Documents — the SBD forms. They look bureaucratic, but each one is a legal declaration, and an incomplete or unsigned form is among the most common reasons bids get thrown out. Here’s what each form does and how to complete it safely.

Five rules that keep your bid alive
- Complete every form, even where the answer is “N/A” — a blank reads as an omission.
- Sign everywhere a signature block appears — including initialling alterations.
- Use the tender’s own forms — don’t substitute a version from an older bid pack.
- Keep names consistent — the entity name must match CIPC, the CSD and your bank letter exactly.
- Check the returnable-documents checklist — most packs list every returnable; tick them off physically before sealing.
